Guided tours to remote and rarely
visited parts of Anatolian Turkey.

GUIDED TOURS OF TURKEY
We organise guided tours to all parts of
Turkey including Istanbul, Gallipoli and Ephesus. We've devised some selected tours (see side panel). These are available in their complete form or can be used as the basis for tailor making a tour.
These are fully escorted tours
for two to twelve guests. Each itinerary is
tailor made to ensure an unforgettable experience for
discerning travellers.
Accompanied by an English speaking
Turkish guide and our driver you will experience the numerous
treasures and hidden wonders of this amazing country.
Tap into our local knowledge, gained
from 15 years of living there and visit some of our favourite
places off the beaten track. Remains of ancient civilisations,
local sights, mountains, flora and fauna and secret coastlines
combine with Turkish hospitality to make a memorable holiday.
To help you create your tour, different key activities and themes are identified by these icons.
General sightseeing
Wherever you travel there is astonishing scenery, historic sights, wonderful hospitality and rich cuisine to be savoured.
Walking
Fine walks In the highlands in the summer; coastal paths and lowlands in the Spring and Autumn, with minibus support for those who may be less agile. Mountaineering can be arranged.
Bird watching
Turkey is on the main migratory routes for a large number of birds. Wetlands provide a habitat for resident species.
Flowers
Early in the season, the flowers bloom in the wake of the snow-melt, whilst in the Black Sea area, in mid summer, the upland pastures (‘yaylas’) are swathed in many varieties of orchid and other unfamiliar species.
History & Archaeology
Historical artefacts from different conquests and civilisations abound. Each period has its own unique fascination:-
- Prehistoric: Palaeolithic, Neolithic, and Chalcolithic;
- Ancient: Hittite, Lydian, Urartian, Lycian, Hellenistic, Roman, Commagene and Pontic
- AD: Byzantine, Armenia, Selcuk, and Ottoman
- Modern: Turkish Republic
(Tours encompass more than one area of interest)
Natural wonders
Evidence of volcanic activity can be found throughout Turkey. Strange topography and dwellings formed from caves are features in the area known as Cappadocia. Hot springs and mud baths and spectacular coastline add to the magic.
Boating
From Turkish Mediterranean and Aegean ports bareboat or crewed yachts can be chartered, For a special experience the locally crafted gulets offer sophisticated holidays in floating ‘hotels’.
Shopping
Turkey’s famous carpets and rugs can be purchased over many cups of tea, either from sophisticated air-conditioned premises or beside the road from nomads. A host of exotic items such as spice, gold, silver and world famous Iznik porcelain can be found in local and city bazaars.
Relaxing in the sun
If the thought of all these activities leave you breathless, we can always arrange a holiday by the pool in a comfortable hotel or pansiyon, with boating and the occasional day tour.
